

T in the Park is the biggest Scottish music festival, that has been held annually since 1994! Every year it has attracted tens of thousands of festival goers, with last year around 85,000 people attending. I thought the best way to stary of my blog about the music scene was to to post about this years T in the Park! Simple Minds are still going strong today, having done worldwide tours in 20. In fact, there is a scene from the television show “One Tree Hill” where the character Brooke Davis dances to the song. The current Line-Up : The two remaining founder members – Jim Kerr (vocals,songwriting) and Charlie Burchill (guitars, keyboards, songwriting) plus, Mel Gaynor (drummer who first joined the band in 1982), Andy Gillespie (keyboards) and Ged Grimes. The remaining members decided to stay together, but ditched the overt punkiness, and became the pop-rock band Simple Minds! However, that same year, Milarky and McNeil quit the band.

The original members were, John Milarky, Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, Brian McGee, Tony Donald and Alan McNeil.
